Deleting my Empatica Account

Due to FDA regulations, Embrace2 cannot be transferred, sold, or donated to another individual. Additionally, Embrace2 is an FDA-cleared device in the US, and therefore, users are required to submit a valid prescription prior to the shipment in order to receive the order. As such, Embrace cannot be used without a valid prescription correctly uploaded in our systems.
We strongly advise against the purchase of second-hand Embrace devices. Regrettably, we cannot guarantee the usability or the current status of any devices obtained through unofficial channels. Note that if you choose to purchase an Embrace from sources other than our official Online Store/vendor (Epilepsy Alarms UK), we are unable to provide any assistance or technical support pertaining to the functionality of the device.

Before you decide to delete your account, please note that it is permanent and cannot be undone.

 

It will also result in a full cancellation of our services.

 

What will be deleted?

  • Personal Data (Full Name, email address(es), phone number, date of birth).
  • Caregiver(s) Data (Caregiver phone number, caregiver email address).
  • Parent email address (if any).
  • Subscription and credit card details.

 

What will remain?

  • Purchase information (orders, shipping address, invoices).

 

The following information will remain but will be de-identified:

  • Usage logs and data.
  • Physical details (height, weight, year of birth).
  • Embrace processed data.

 

How to delete  your account

  1. Log in to your Empatica Account.
  2. Go to the Account tab and open the Privacy Tools section, then click  Edit Privacy Settings.
  3. Click on Delete My Account.
  4. Scroll down and click Delete My Account.
  5. Send us the Delete Account email with a brief explanation for the request. Please note, it may take up to 30 days to fully delete all of your information. We’ll notify you as soon as the process has been completed.
