Some of the folders from the downloaded data in the Research Portal are empty because they are associated with subjects who have already completed the study.
Downloads are currently limited to either the Study or Site level, and not to a single Subject. The data from all the Subjects whose data were uploaded during the selected data range will be included. This means that the data could include Completed/Early Termed Subjects’ data, which represent the empty files.
Empty files can also mean that the Subject didn’t upload any data during the requested time interval. You can check the data uploading status of the Subject by opening the UPLOAD_STATUS.txt file included in the data download.
