Using EpiMonitor with a Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS), a pacemaker, or during a scan

Wearing EpiMonitor with a VNS or a pacemaker

EmbracePlus for EpiMonitor contains magnets. Our recommendation is to consult your doctor or surgeon to determine if the VNS implant is sensitive to magnetic fields, and if any precautions should be taken in daily life.

Users who wear a pacemaker or who have health conditions that might be sensitive to small electrical signals should always consult their physicians before wearing any electronic device, including EmbracePlus for EpiMonitor.

Wearing EpiMonitor during an MRI or X-Ray scan

You should not wear EmbracePlus for EpiMonitor during an MRI or an X-ray scan. During these procedures, the doctor will usually ask you to remove all metal objects since they can affect the quality of the exams. Please make sure that you remove EpiMonitor as well.

In general, any medical device to be worn alongside EpiMonitor must be consulted with a healthcare practitioner before use.
