Setting up your EpiMonitor

Just received your EpiMonitor device? Follow these steps for a quick setup of the system.

šŸ“ Prep

Before you start, make sure you have:

  • EpiMonitor account credentials
  • EmbracePlus watch and charger
  • The user’s dedicated smartphone that will be paired with the smartwatch
    • The phone should have an internet connection

šŸ“˜ Instructions

  1. Download and open the EpiMonitor AppĀ 
  2. Configure your smartphone
    Disable any battery optimization features that might interfere with the app: How to configure your smartphone
  3. Check phone compatibility
    Verify that the phone is compatible and running the required software:
    • In the app, tap ā€˜Start compatibility check’.
    • The system will automatically check the phone. You can read more information about compatibility requirements here: Check phone compatibility
  4. Log in with your EpiMonitor account credentials
    Once you pass the compatibility check, enter your EpiMonitor account credentials.
  5. Pair the EmbracePlus watch
    Make sure to follow the in‑app instructions to pair your device.

    Important: Always pair the watch from within the EpiMonitor App.
    :arrow_right: Do not pair it from the phone’s Bluetooth settings.

  6. Add caregivers
    Add the caregivers who will receive alert calls and SMS:Managing Caregivers for EpiMonitor

Subscription activation

Your subscription plan will automatically activate once the device is successfully paired with the user’s phone.

  • What happened (any error messages or unexpected behavior)
  • The date and time of the pairing attempt
