Just received your EpiMonitor device? Follow these steps for a quick setup of the system.
š Prep
Before you start, make sure you have:

EpiMonitor account credentials
- If you donāt have an account yet, see: How to create your EpiMonitor account
- EmbracePlus watch and charger
- The userās dedicated smartphone that will be paired with the smartwatch
- The phone should have an internet connection
š Instructions

Download and open the EpiMonitor AppĀ
- Download from the Apple App Store

Download from the Google Play Store
Important: Install the app on the userās phone, not the caregiverās.
Caregivers should not download the app or pair the watch to their phones.
If your child does not have a smartphone, please use a dedicated phone for the app that will be with your child at all times. Read more about Caregivers here: A guide to being a Caregiver for EpiMonitor
Add caregiver phone numbers to the Caregiverās List inside the EpiMonitor App so they can receive alert calls and SMS.

Configure your smartphone
Disable any battery optimization features that might interfere with the app: How to configure your smartphone -
Check phone compatibility
Verify that the phone is compatible and running the required software:- In the app, tap āStart compatibility checkā.
- The system will automatically check the phone. You can read more information about compatibility requirements here: Check phone compatibility

Log in with your EpiMonitor account credentials
Once you pass the compatibility check, enter your EpiMonitor account credentials. -
Pair the EmbracePlus watch
Make sure to follow the ināapp instructions to pair your device.Important: Always pair the watch from within the EpiMonitor App.
Do not pair it from the phoneās Bluetooth settings. -
Add caregivers
Add the caregivers who will receive alert calls and SMS:Managing Caregivers for EpiMonitor
Subscription activation
Your subscription plan will automatically activate once the device is successfully paired with the userās phone.
