EpiMonitor Vibration Settings

The EmbracePlus device is designed to vibrate in various situations. For instance, it will vibrate when it detects a possible tonic-clonic seizure lasting over 20 seconds, allowing you to cancel the alert in case it is a false alarm. Additionally, the device will vibrate to notify you of certain system issues, such as a disconnection or other generic errors.

In compliance with FDA regulations, this vibration feature is part of a critical risk assessment system and cannot be turned off. However, we understand that you may wish to adjust the intensity of the vibration based on your personal comfort and the time of day. EpiMonitor provides three different vibration settings that you can choose from depending on your needs.

As a general recommendation, we advise testing the different vibration settings to ensure that the vibration is always noticeable. This is essential for staying informed about any potential issues with the device.

 

How to Adjust the Vibration Pattern

To change the vibration intensity on your EmbracePlus device via the EpiMonitor app, follow these steps:

  1. Open the EpiMonitor App and tap on the EpiMonitor status card, which appears as the first option in the list.

  2. Tap the 'Vibration Settings' button.
    If your device is currently disconnected, this button will be grayed out and unavailable.

  3. Choose your preferred vibration intensity that fits your day and tap ‘Confirm’:
    • Roaring – maximum intensity. Perfect for when you’re on the move, working out, or when you’re in a noisy environment.
    • Calm – medium intensity. Just the right balance for everyday moments.
    • Gentle – the lowest intensity. Ideal for quiet settings, winding down, or during sleep.

Please note that after selecting your preferred vibration pattern and returning to this page, the system will not display which option you previously chose. If you're unsure which pattern is currently set, we recommend selecting your preferred option again to ensure it reflects your choice.

 

Select the pattern that best fits your needs and lifestyle. Keep in mind the importance of perceiving the vibration clearly during critical moments.
