Manage EpiMonitor subscription on behalf of the EpiMonitor user

If you are viewing this article, it’s most likely that the purchase of EpiMonitor was done with a different email address than the one used to create the EpiMonitor Account.

When the EpiMonitor pack is purchased from our Online Store, the chosen subscription plan is automatically associated with the purchaser’s email address. In the case that the EpiMonitor account’s email address is different from the one used for purchasing, only the purchaser can manage the subscription plan. For this reason, it’s important to remember the buyer’s email address so they can manage future subscription changes such as canceling or renewing the plan, or updating the payment method(s).

Alternatively, the buyer can transfer the subscription management ownership to the EpiMonitor user’s account by changing the email address under the ‘Billing information’ section. This can be helpful for independent EpiMonitor users who prefer to manage the subscription on their own. More information can be found here.

If you are the purchaser and you need to manage an EpiMonitor subscription, follow these steps:

  1. Go to this link.
  2. Enter your email address used in the purchase and click ‘Send'.

  3. Check your email inbox. The subject title will be ‘Your Empatica customer portal login link’ and will be sent from @stripe.com.

  4. Click the button ‘Log in’.
  5. The purchaser will be redirected to Stripe, our subscription management partner.

  6. From here, the purchaser can manage the EpiMonitor user’s subscription plan:
    • Add or delete a payment method, set a default payment method, and change the billing information (including changing the subscription management ownership): Updating your billing details

    • If the auto-renewal has been canceled but you changed your mind, the plan can be reactivated or renewed so that the plan doesn’t cancel by the end of the subscription period. Click ‘Renew plan’ and follow the steps to confirm the subscription renewal.
