EmbraceMini is not charging

When EmbraceMini is placed in the cable charger, the LED will start glowing white to confirm the device is charging. You will feel a slight pull as EmbraceMini snaps into place with the cable charger.

If the EmbraceMini LED does not glow white, follow these steps:

  1. Check if the battery is already fully charged by briefly pressing the front button. The LED turns off when the battery is fully charged, and lights up white for 1s when the front button is pressed.
  2. Make sure the EmbraceMini LED and front button are visible while you slide EmbraceMini into the cable charger.
  3. Adjust the EmbraceMini by wiggling it a bit, making sure that the golden contacts on the EmbraceMini are in contact with the golden pins on the charger.
  4. Make sure that you use the cable charger included in the EmbraceMini package, and plug it into a standard 5V USB power source.
  5. Try unplugging the USB connector and plugging it back in.
  6. Try a different EmbraceMini cable charger (if available).
  7. Try plugging the charger into a different power outlet or USB power source.
  8. Make sure there is no dust on the cable charger, close to the pins. If there is any dust, disconnect the charger from the power source and clean it carefully with a dry cloth.
  9. Inspect the EmbraceMini cable charger for physical damage.  If there is any damage, disconnect the cable charger from the power source.
  10. If there is no physical damage visible and the issue persists:
    • Press and hold the front button for at least 15 seconds.
    • The LED will flash, and you should see it briefly glow white, confirming the reboot.

If the issue persists, fill the form by clicking on Submit a request at the bottom of this page or by going to this link. Please provide all the information needed to the Empatica Support Team and we will then reach out directly to assist you further.
