Download and install E4 manager on your macOS Monterey computer (macOS 12.0.1 and higher)

The following step-by-step guide will show you how to download and install E4 manager on your macOS Monterey.

Due to a change in the system architecture in macOS Monterey (12.0.1 and higher) for Apple computers, the current version of the E4 manager is not able to detect an E4 when connected to the USB.

This results in not being able to download sessions from the E4 or upgrading/reinstalling the firmware for troubleshooting purposes.

The attached version of the E4 manager includes a fix for this specific issue, enabling again the E4 to be detected by the operating system without losing any data.

Version compatibility: This E4 manager version is compatible only with macOS Monterey. If you are using an older OS version, please refer to this article: Download and install the E4 manager on your macOS computer

REMINDER To install the software, the device is not required, so for your convenience, keep it unplugged from your computer.

Installation Steps

  1. Download the E4 manager version 2.1.4.
  2. Once the download has been completed, locate the disk image (i.e. E4 manager_2.1.4, usually in the Downloads folder) and open it by double-clicking or control+click and then Open.

TIP If you cannot find the file in your downloads directory, you can use a Spotlight search (by clicking the magnifier glass on the top right corner of your screen or pressing ⌘+spacebar) for "E4 manager".

  4. At this point, a new dialog from the system should appear asking confirmation to open an "unverified" file. You can confirm without worries and the installation should start.

  5. If you have an older E4 manager, extract the app and move it to your Application folder to overwrite the old one before opening it.

Please also be aware that the text in the "password" field in the E4 manager might look a bit offset in respect to the "username" field. This is due to the OS and is only a minor graphical issue.
