E4 manager installation issue on Windows

The most common problem occurs with Windows computers running different antivirus software. They mark EmpaticaManager.exe as suspicious software because we prevent any program (including virus scanners such as NOD32) from inspecting the .exe. If you would write a virus you would probably do the same thing, that's why the antivirus program marks it as 'suspicious'. In order to enable E4 manager to run, you have to add the E4 manager installation folder (default is C:\Program Files (x86)\Empatica\EmpaticaManager) to the list of exceptions in your antivirus software.

E4 USB Drivers not installed

The E4 drivers get automatically installed during the E4 manager installation. However, in some cases, the driver installation can silently fail, resulting in your E4 not being recognized by the system when connected to the USB port.

If this happens please download the stand-alone installer by clicking on the attachment called E4 USB Drivers [Win].zip, which you can find at the bottom of this article.

After the installation process, your E4 should be recognized by the E4 manager when connected to the USB port.
