The E4 is part of our Empatica Research platform which comes with access to E4 realtime (for Bluetooth Smart Ready iOS and Android devices), E4 manager (OSX / Windows), and the E4 connect web application.
At this time the E4 does not ship with any consumer or health applications and does not provide any event detection or alert functionality.
For developer customers who wish to access real-time data from E4 from their own custom applications, we offer our SDKs and the E4 streaming server. You can find more information on our SDKs on our Developer Page.
